Cannot assign to superior outline level in hierarchy

Diagnosis

The outline level assignments are incorrect.

System Response

The document cannot be created because there are inconsistencies in the specification of the outline structure.

Procedure

Check the assignment of the outline levels for package number (field PCKG_NO) and line number (field LINE_NO) to each other.

Note:

  • For the subordinate outline level, the value of the HI_LINE_NO field must correspond to the line number of the higher-level outline level in the hierarchy (LINE_NO field).
  • In addition, ensure that the hierarchy levels (field OUTL_LEVEL) coorespond to each other. The hierarchy level can have the values 1 to 5.
  • With subordinate outline levels, the group of hierarchy levels must be greater by one than the value of the higher-level outline level.
