Diagnosis
You tried to create statistics with sub-totals or to define a page break for a sort field, but did not take one of the following three conditions into consideration.
First, sub-totals and page breaks can only be created for fields used for sorting.
Secondly, sub-totals/page breaks can only be created for fields if sorting was also defined for the previous fields in the statistics and if sorting is defined in increasing order.
Thirdly, no fields whose sort number is smaller than the sort number of this field may follow after a field for which you want a sub-total or a page break.
For example, if you want to create sub-totals or a page break for the third field (sequence number 3), you must sort according to this field and the two previous fields. Since the sorting sequence still has to be in increasing order, the first field must have sort number 1, the second field sort number 2 and the third field sort number 3.
In the following example, you cannot create sub-totals or output page breaks. The first field of the statistics (sequence number 1) has sort number 2 and one of the following fields has sort number 1. A sub-total/page break cannot be output for any of the fields, not even for the first field.
