Diagnosis

You have specified that the number assignment for appropriation request type should be the same as for WBS elements that are formatted (use a coding mask). In order to have this type of number for the appropriation request type, you need to use internal number assignment in number range .
However, number range currently has external number assignment.

System Response

The system does not create appropriation requests.

Procedure

Correct the Customizing settings for appropriation request type :

• Assign appropriation request type to a number range with internal number assignment.
• Or, change the number assignment control in appropriation request type so that it does not require formatting as WBS elements do.
