Help Document
Diagnosis
The address data maintained in the field uses of places. However, the last places of the field have limitations with regard to their usage.
System Response
The data can be used and saved in this form up to a total length of characters.
In some scenarios, however, only the first 10 places of the field Search Term 1 are used by the system.
This involves the following cases:
- ALE: Only 10 characters can be transferred for the address data in some ALE message types (IDOC types) for reasons of compatibility with other releases and components for Search Term 1. These message types are:
DEBMAS
CREMAS
DEBCOR
CRECOR
The problems do not occur if the associated address data in IDOC ADRMAS is sent with these message types. - EDI: Only 10 characters can be transferred for the address data for Search Term 1 due to reasons of compatibility with the UN/EDIFACT standard.
Procedure
If want the full name to be displayed when using these scenarios use only the first 10 places of the field Search Term 1 or abbreviate the name if necessary.
