Diagnosis

You are trying to carry out a recursive repair in Subcontracting for MRO Processes. This means that you send a part to the subcontractor and receive the same physical part back after repair. You use subcontracting type Refurbishment with Unchanged Material Number (1) or Refurbishment with Changed Material Number (2). However, only one of the issuing or receiving materials is serialized, meaning the serial number profile is assigned in the material master.

System Response

The system stops processing.

Procedure

Check the serial number profiles in the material master record, if required.

Ensure that both the issuing and receiving materials are either:

• Serialized
• Non-serialized
