Posting/Document date per trip can extend runtime considerably

Diagnosis
You want to create a posting document per trip and assign each of these documents/postings the start or end date of the trip.
System Response
The system checks the time validity of tax code and account assignment objects. With a date per trip, each individual trip must be checked instead of one general check of all trips. Depending on the number of trips, tax codes and account assignment objects, this can be much more time-consuming in some cases.
Procedure
Reconsider whether the posting/document date per trip setting is really necessary.
