Diagnosis

The employee's payroll result or master data includes the combination of employee group and employee subgroup . The system tried to determine additional information for this combination, but could not find the combination.

Note
When you effect the wage and salary payment, the system determines the combination of employee group and employee subgroup using the last record of table WPBP (Work Center/Basic Pay) in the employee's payroll result. When you effect an advance payment from master data, the system determines the combination of personnel area and personnel subarea using the employee's infotype 0001 Organizational Assignment.

Procedure

This error can occur in two situations:

  1. The combination of employee group and employee subgroup is incorrect.
    1. If the error occurs when the wage and salary payment is effected, you must correct the affected employees' master data and payroll results.
    2. If the error occurs when an advance payment from master data is effected, you only need to correct the affected employees' master data.
  2. Customizing lacks the settings required for employee group and employee subgroup (table T001P).
