Item in PO with material &1 already marked as statistical

Diagnosis
When sub-items are created for a line item in the purchase order due to material interchangeability in the TPOP process, the main line item is marked as statistical. Hence any follow on processing on the main item is not allowed.
System Response
The system does not allow processing of the main item and raises the error message.
Procedure
Check the confirmation IDOC sent by the supplier and see if the sent PO item number is correct.
The IDOC should contain the sub item number of the PO.
