DPC contract &1 exists with posting. Not possible to change payer

Diagnosis
A debit-side down payment chain exists for the sales order item and postings have been made. You have either changed the payer or the sold-to party for the sales order item, which also causes the payer to be changed. If a debit-side down payment chain with postings exists, you are no longer allowed to change the payer.
