You do not need to generate the scale tables for the given application. This is only the case when no scale tables are required for the application.

For users: Purely for information purposes
For application developers: If scale tables are required for the condition tables in the application, they must be defined in Customizing for the corresponding application. The developer normally makes this setting when setting up the application. It can be changed at a later date.
