Cannot generate actions &1

Diagnosis

The system cannot generate actions for one of the following reasons:

  • You have not assigned any actions to the relevant business object in Customizing for the Post Processing Framework (PPF).
  • The action has failed the evaluate schedule condition check.
  • You have attempted to generate an action for a business document for which an unprocessed action already exists. The system allows just one unprocessed action for a business document at any one time.

If you have not assigned any actions to the relevant business object in Customizing for PPF, contact your system administrator.

Procedure for System Administration

  1. Assign an action to the relevant business object in Customizing for the PPF under Cross-Application Components -> Process and Tools for Enterprise Applications -> Reusable Objects and Functions for BOPF Environment -> PPF Adapter for Output Management -> Maintain PPF Settings.
  2. Choose the appropriate application, and choose the Define Action Profile and Actions pushbutton.
  3. Choose the appropriate action profile or create a new action profile if necessary. Choose Action Definition.
  4. Choose an appropriate action definition or create an action definition if necessary. Choose Processing Types.
  5. Specify the relevant processing types and settings as required.
