Withholding tax posting &1 &2 cannot be cleared

Diagnosis
The following constellations can lead to an error message:
- Credit for withholding tax belonging to document item is to be cleared without the line items themselves being cleared.
- A greater clearing amount was shown for credit for withholding tax belonging to document item than the item itself.
System Response
The posting is rejected as it cannot be correct.
Procedure
If you want to write off credit for withholding tax because line item has already been paid in full, you must deselect field WT incoming payment when processing open items.
If the system automatically selected the open items, contact your system administrator.
