Definition

If you mark this flag, the authorization object W_STRU_CHG is checked to determine if the user has the necessary permissions to change the component list of a structured material. This check can be performed or left out for any of the logistic processes that are checked for the structured material (listing conditions, purchase orders, sales documents exist for the given structured material) and for any of the material categories (sales set, display, prepack, full product).

Dependencies

The authority check is only performed

  • if you have marked that the system should check the corresponding documents (Flag "Check Documents"),
  • if the structured material is already used in these documents and
  • if changes to the component list are generally permitted (Flag "Allow Changes").

Example

If you remove the flag "Check Documents" for purchase orders and prepacks, the system will not search for purchase orders containing a given prepack, therefore no authorization of the user will be checked when he/she wants to change the component list, even if this flag is marked.

The same applies if you don't permit changes to the component list anyway. In this case, even if you mark this flag, there is no need to check the authorization and therefore the system will not do it.
