Definition
Indicates that the logistical data for the material must be determined.
The logistical data that is required for the material-customer combination in the requirements calculation includes:
- Deletion flags
- Inventory management type (replenishment-based inventory management or MM-based inventory management) and information for determining your stock.
- Planned delivery time and processing time for goods receipt
- Planning calendar
- Period indicator and business variants
- Plant
- If applicable, the dynamic calculation of target stock
- If applicable, the inclusion of the replenishment lead time in the ATP (Available to Promise) check
If you choose to determine the logistical data for the material, you also have to determine general material master data.

Use
In the three-step replenishment method, the logistics data for a material can be determined when a) the data for the replenishment requirement calculation is generated or when b) the replenishment requirement calculation is run. This means, therefore, that the indicator for determining the logistics data must be set for either a) or b).
If the indicator is set for a), the logistics data for the material is stored temporarily for calculating the replenishment requirement so that system performance is optimized when the logistics data for the material is determined for b).
If the indicator is set for b), changes to the logistics data will not be taken into consideration if they were made between a) and b) taking place.
