Definition
Indicator for defining rounding parameters.
The following information is used to determine rounding parameters:
- Distribution chain
- Unit of measure and unit of measure groups
- Rounding profiles
- Minimum and maximum limits
- Information indicating if variable units of measure and variable units of sale are active
- PO quantity rounding value
- Increment for special sales rounding method
- Item category in purchasing document
The definition of rounding parameters depends on the type of document (purchasing document or sales document) that is generated.
If you want to determine rounding parameters, you also have to determine the supply source and all other related master data.
Rounding parameters only need to be determined if you want to round requirements in the requirements calculation or in follow-on document generation using the multi-step replenishment method.
Supplementary Documentation - WSRP_DECROUNDP0001
Use
In the three-step replenishment method, you can define the rounding parameters when the replenishment requirement data is calculated or when the replenishment requirement calculation is actually run. The indicator for this must, therefore, be set when the data is defined or when the calculation is run.
If the indicator is set for the definition of the rounding parameters, the supply source for the replenishment requirement calculation and follow-on document generation is stored temporarily to ensure good performance when the rounding parameters are defined for the replenishment requirement calculation and the follow-on document generation.
If rounding parameters are defined when the data for the replenishment requirement calculation is generated, changes to the rounding parameters will not be taken into consideration if they were made between the data for the calculation being generated and the calculation being run.
Rounding parameters only have to be defined when data for the replenishment requirement calculation is determined and the running of the calculation if the data resulting from the replenishment requirement calculation is to be rounded in any way.

Notes
Follow-on documents are generated using the store order function. If you want to define the rounding parameters for your calculation when the follow-on documents are generated, this determination is actually made in the store order function.
Use
In the three-step replenishment method, you can define the rounding parameters when the data for the replenishment requirement calculation is generated or when the follow-on documents are generated. This means that the indicator can be set for follow-on document generation or when the data for the replenishment requirement calculation is generated.
If the indicator is set for the definition of the rounding parameters, the supply source for the calculation of the replenishment requirements and the follow-on document generation is stored temporarily, meaning that rounding parameter performance is optimized, when the replenishment requirement is calculated and the follow-on documents are generated.
If the rounding parameters are defined when the data for the replenishment requirement calculation is generated, changes to the rounding parameters are not taken into consideration if they were made between the definition of the data for the replenishment requirement data and the generation of the follow-on documents.
Rounding parameters only have to be defined for both steps if the replenishment requirement that has been calculated is actually rounding when follow-on documents are generated.
In the two-step replenishment method, the rounding parameters and the supply source have to be determined when follow-on documents are generated if the replenishment requirements are to be rounded when follow-on documents are generated.
