Documentation
The difference condition type can be used when an update of two interconnected transaction keys results in a difference.
Example of stock transfer:
The issuing plant issues goods with a value of 100 EURO.
The receiving plant, however, posts a goods receipt for only 80 EURO.
With RMA, this can result in the following postings:
The issuing plant post its goods issue correctly at 100 EURO. The receiving plant posts a goods receipt with a value of 100 EURO but at the same time effects a markdown of 20 EURO.
An appropriate update is achieved in the following manner:
1. The transaction key of the issuing plant is linked to the transaction key of the receiving plant.
2. The transaction key of the issuing plant is marked as the main transaction key (as a result, a goods receipt value of 100 EURO rather than 80 EURO is posted at the receiving plant).
3. The difference condition type for markdown in the event of a negative difference is stored.
The values of the difference condition type are determined by the values of the access condition type.
