Definition
This date can be used to overwrite the Valid from date supplied by the vendor for the item.
Use
Overwriting the Valid from date in this way only provides useful results if the relevant catalog item is to be posted using scheduled data creation (program: RWRF_PRICAT_TERMINATION).
If catalog items are posted directly in PRICAT online processing, this field is not relevant.
Dependencies
Example
The program RWRF_PRICAT_TERMINATION for scheduled data creation has a default lead time of 10.
The catalog item to be posted has a Valid from date of 20.06.2005.
The catalog item has been scheduled previously.
The current date is 01.06.2005.
The program for scheduled data creation would include all catalog items on the current date plus 10 in the worklist. In other words, catalog items with a validity period up to and including 11.06.2005.
The catalog item with the Validity from date of 20.06.2005 would not be included in the worklist.
However, if the date is explicitly set to 10.06.2005, for example, using the date field described here, this catalog item would also be included in the worklist and consequently in the posting process.
