Definition
Key that uniquely identifies a markdown profile.
A markdown profile contains time-specific target values for sales (target sales quotas) as long with markdowns that are to be implemented if the actual sales figures deviate from the corresponding target values (pricing strategy).
Use
Markdown profiles are used during the current season in order to monitor merchandise sales automatically and propose price changes where necessary.
Dependencies
Markdown profiles are maintained completely in the SAP BW. You can use the markdown profiles in the ERP system through an RFC connection.
The assignments maintained in the ERP system - profiles to generic material or single material at the levels single/generic material, generic material-color, generic material-color, and generic material-size-color are extracted to the SAP BW regularly.
In the opposite direction, when profiles are assigned to a generic material or single material via RFC connection to the SAP BW, the system checks whether the requested profile exist and whether it can be assigned based on the material's parameters. Once a profile has been assigned, any changes to the profiles in the SAP BW - or even their deletion - are not taken into account in the ERP system. They do not result in a check or correction of the assignment table.
