Posting periods are used to divide up a fiscal year.
Use
You use posting periods to enter time periods in markdown profiles that are part of slow seller management in SAP BW. The relevant posting period determined in the slow seller analysis is copied to the markdown proposals that are generated and can be displayed in the Price Planning Workbench for information purposes when processing markdown price plans.
Dependencies
A specific fiscal year variant must be defined for slow seller management.
