Definition
Date on which a price plan is valid. This means the date lies within thevalidity period that is specified in the header data of the price plan.
Use
This date is used to restrict the selection of price plans in the Price Planning Workbench. You can specify a single date or a time range for the validity date.
Restricting by this selection parameter is especially useful for promotion price plans, because they usually only have limited validity.
Dependencies
You can also use an interval to restrict the selection of price plans by validity start date.
Example
The examples below illustrate the possible scheduling of validity periods for price plans on the specified validity date or validity period.
- Case 1: Specify a single day, such as 07/01/05
Price plan 1 with validity from 06/01/05 - 08/31/05 will be considered.
Price plans 2 and 3 with validity periods 01/01/05 - 05/30/2005 and 08/01/05 - 09/30/2005 will not be considered.
- Case 2: Specify an interval, such as 06/01/05 - 07/31/05
Price plan 1 with validity on 05/01/05 will be considered.
Price plan 2 with validity from 05/01/05 - 09/30/05 will be considered.
Price plan 3 with validity from 07/01/05 - 09/30/05 will be considered.
Price plan 4 with validity from 06/15/05 - 06/30/05 will be considered.
Price plans 5 and 6 with validity periods 01/01/05 - 05/30/2005 and 09/01/05 - 09/30/2005 will not be considered.
