Documentation
Definition
Summary of control parameters of the budget processes within the Price Planning Workbench (PPW) and OTB.
Use
Dependencies
You define the Budget Type in the SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW). You then transfer it to the ERP system.
Use
You assign the Budget Type to the budget level and the key figure set.
In the OTB function, you can use several different budget types to model the different processes. If you use multiple budget types, you have to assign a BAdI implementation to extend the budget type, and define a Prioritization in Customizing, as to how the system can uniquely determine the budget type.
Only one budget type is allowed in within price planning in the PPW.
Example
In the OTB function, you can use multiple budget types to model a process or use single budget types that are assigned to different budget levels:
- Process A
Centralized purchasing; the store is not a component of the assigned budget level.
- Process B
Distributed purchasing; the store is a component of the assigned budget level.
