Definition

Controls the check response for characteristic values during the assignment characteristic values in material maintenance and when deleting a characteristic values in characteristic value maintenance.

Use

The following check options are available when assigning characteristic values in material maintenance:

• N - No check of characteristic values
• W - Check characteristic values and output a warning message if the characteristic value does not exist
• E - Check characteristic values and output an error message

The following check options are available when deleting characteristic values:

• N - No check of characteristic values
• W - Check whether characteristic value is assigned to a material and output a warning message if an assignment exists
• E - Check whether characteristic value is assigned to a material and output an error message if an assignment exists
