Definition
Determines whether this data record is an item for a structured material or items for the components of a structured material.
Use
The record type enables you to update, for example, the stock of structured materials and their components in SAP BW simultaneously in an InfoProvider, and to prevent the stock of the structured material and its components from being cumulated to this InfoProvider when you run reports.
In business terms, this kind of cumulation does not provide useful results and is indeed impossible in certain cases of structured materials because of differing units of measure.
