Definition
Two types of material lists exist:
- Dynamic material lists:
Dynamic material lists consist of saved selection conditions that can be used to determine the current set of valid material numbers.
- Static material lists:
Static material lists contain both the selection conditions and the material numbers that corresponded to those selection conditions when the material list was released in the system. If a static material list is generated in SAP BI, for example, only the material numbers will be saved in SAP ECC, without the corresponding selection condition.
Use
Dependencies
Only static material lists without selection conditions can be exchanged between an SAP BI system and an SAP ECC system.
