Definition

When you enter manual planning, this additional key figure tells you the number of materials that are listed in an assortment. The listing time period is the planning horizon in manual planning.

Use

The key figure is arranged in a planning step as an additional key figure.

It is not possible to specify the listed materials exactly due to the time dependency of the listing conditions. Note therefore, that this key figure is subject to special aggregation behavior. At non-time-based aggregation level this key figure can be totalled. At time-based aggregation level it cannot be totalled. In this case, the maximum or the average of all the underlying planning periods is recommended.

The assortment must be used in the planning layout

Example

The planning horizon of the layout used is four months and the storage periodicity of the planning step is one month.

When you enter manual planning, the system checks how many materials are listed on the first day of the month for every month of the time period being considered. The result is as follows:

  • Month 1: 6 materials
  • Month 2: 8 materials
  • Month 3: 8 materials
  • Month 4: 10 materials

If Maximum is set, 12 listed materials are displayed for the assortment in the layout. If the average is set, eight listed materials are displayed.
