Definition
Average Retail is a special planning key figure used in manual planning to convert value-based planning into material-based planning and vice-versa.
The key figure indicates the average price on a planning level.
Use
The key figure is arranged in a planning step as an additional key figure.
When calculating the Average Retail, a time interval that the user can create is used as a basis, which is set in Customizing for the additional key figure. The currency unit is the entry currency of manual planning.
Note the particular aggregation behavior of the average price in planning. In non-time-based aggregation this key figure is an average key figure. In time-based aggregation, the last period value is recommended, because the calculation time period for the average price is defined in Customizing and is therefore independent of the time periods in planning.
