Documentation
Definition
If the stock level falls below this quantity, the system marks the material for material requirements planning by creating a planning file entry.
Supplementary Documentation - WFCS_MINBE0001
Use
The reorder point can be set manually or automatically using the forecast. With the automatic method, the forecast checks the reorder point periodically and adjusts it if necessary.

Use
The reorder point is only important in reorder point planning.
Procedure
For manual reorder point planning, you enter the reorder point manually. For automatic reorder point planning, the system determines the reorder point automatically in the forecast calculation.
If you are creating a new material master record, you must enter the reorder point manually, even if it is to be overwritten by the system at a later date. It is therefore possible to plan a material if a forecast calculation has not yet taken place.
