Documentation
Definition
Quantity that gives the lower limit for the safety stock. The stock level cannot fall below this value.
Use
Defining a lower limit has the following effects:
- When entering or changing material master data
The system checks whether the safety stock is larger than or equal to this lower limit.
- In the forecast
The system checks against the lower limit if you use an MRP type for which the Customizing settings stipulate that the safety stock is to be recalculated when a forecast takes place.
If the safety stock calculated by the forecast is below this lower limit, it is automatically set to the value of the lower limit.
Dependencies
The safety stock must always be larger than or equal to this lower limit.
