Definition
Flag this indicator if you want to use the workload estimate for parallel processing. By activating the workload estimate, the system calculates the number of forecast items to be processed for each recipient - the number of material - recipient combinations contained in the worklist . The program processes the recipients with the highest number of forecasted items so that the individual processes are used equally when spread out over the length of the forecast runs.
If the allocation of the workload is uneven for the different recipient, you can use the workload estimate to improve system performance. Note, however, that database accesses can be used to define the workload, as stated in the worklist.
You can also display the results of the workload estimate if you are
processing data online. Depending on the worklist you are processing, the system may require more time to calculate the estimated workload.
Additional note
The workload estimate only provides information about the number of
forecast items that have to be processed for each recipient. It does not provide information about the amount of historical data that is still to be processed or the forecast data that is still to be calculated (calculating this data may negatively affect your system's performance).
