Definition

The selection step defines the R/3 documents that are selected in the Trading Execution workbench. The system searches for the documents for the Previous Business Process Step and the Business Process Step in the document flow for the documents in the selection step.

Example

A standard process is the outbound delivery as a follow-on step in the sales order. If you choose a selection step belonging to document type Trading Contract, the system offers you value area for selecitng trading contracts. The system searches for documents belonging to the previous step - in this example, sales order documents - in the document flow for the selected trading contracts.
