Definition

The previous business process step defines the R/3 documents that are used as the source documents for the relevant Business Process Step. The document headers and items for the source documents are displayed in the Trading Execution Workbench (TEW).

Example

A standard process is an outbound delivery as a follow-on step for the sales order. In this case, the "sales order" is the previous process step. The document headers and items for sales orders are displayed in the TEW. After having selected the source data, the system switches to the vendor transaction to which the source data is automatically sent.
