Definition
This flag determines whether a quantity increase that is not covered by associations has an effect on the associations and therefore leads to overassociation.
Use
For each individual process step in association management, it is important to define whether a quantity increase that is not covered by associations has an effect on the associations or not. If a quantity increase has no effect on the association it automatically increases the open quantity of the item.
However, the flag is not relevant if the current item belongs to an outbound delivery. As an outbound delivery must always be associated, a quantity increase always has an effect on associations. The same applies to a two-sided trading contract.
Dependencies
Example
A purchase order with a quantity of 100 kg is fully associated with a sales order that also has a quantity of 100 kg. An outbound delivery is carried out for the purchase order. By doing this the delivery quantity is shown to be 105 kg. The flag determines whether the additionalquantity of 5kg has an effect on the association or not.
- The additional quantity has an effect on the association:
- The sales order then covers an association quantity of 105 kg, although only 100 kg are actually available. If an outbound delivery is created from the sales order, the outbound delivery is created with a quantity of 105 kg.
- The additional quantity has no effect on the association:
- The inbound delivery therefore has an open quantity of 5 kg that can be associated from a sales-sided item.
