Definition
The default business process step is a business process step that is used for all R/3 documents that belong to the specified document type. A step determination class is normally used to create the assignment. This class can map an R/3 document type to different business process steps, depending on the business context. If this level of flexibility is not required, the default business process steps is a quick option for defining a fixed assignment.
