Definition
This parameter determines which unit of measure is used for association and which factors are used to convert from document to association units of measure.
The unit is read from the material master.
The following characteristics are possible:
- ' ' Base unit of measure, conversion using document factors
Associations are created in the base unit of measure. Quantity conversions take place using the conversion factors specified in the document items.
- 'S' Sales unit
Associations are created in the sales unit or - if this is not defined - in the base unit of measure. Conversions are made using the conversion factors stored in the material master record. If no sales unit is specified, or if it is identical to the base unit of measure, the conversion factors for the document items are used, as in case ' '.
- 'D' Delivery unit of measure
Associations are created in the delivery unit of measure or - if this is not specified - in the base unit of measure. Conversions are made using the conversion factors stored in the material master record. If no delivery unit of measure is specified, or if it is identical to the base unit of measure, the conversion factors for the document items are used, as in case ' '.
- 'P' Purchase order unit
Associations are created in the purchase order unit or - if this is not specified - in the base unit of measure. Conversions take place using the conversion factors stored in the material master record. If no purchase order unit is specified, or if it is identical to the base unit of measure, the conversion factors for the document items are used, as in case ' '.
- 'V' sales unit, conversion using document factors
Associations are created in the sales unit or - if this is not specified - in the base unit of measure. Using the conversion factors specified in the document items, conversions are first made into the base unit of measure and from there are converted into the target unit of measure using the conversion factors stored in the material master record.
- 'L' Delivery unit of measure, conversion using document factors
Associations are made in the delivery unit of measure or - if this is not specified - in the base unit of measure. Using the conversion factors specified in the document items, conversions are first made into the base unit of measure and from there are converted into the target unit of measure, using the conversion factors stored in the material master record.
- 'B' Purchase order unit, conversion using document factors
Associations are created in the purchase order unit or - if this is not specified - in the base unit of measure. Using the conversion factors specified in the document items, conversions are first made into the base unit of measure, these are then converted into the target unit of measure, using the conversion factors stored in the material master record.
