Definition
The processing indicator specifies the considerations according to which the allocation of an absence into part intervals should be carried out. It also determines the meaning of the content of the following table fields of valuation rules 1 to 6. The part intervals are assigned new valuation rules in the process.
The following processing indicators exist:
Indicator 07
You must use this indicator if an absence is involved with which the remuneration depends on whether it occurred with continued pay or without continued pay. Further differentiations are necessary for circumstances without continued pay. According to § 7, par. 3 of SGB (Code of Social Law) IV, the employment continues for a month as long as the employment relationship continues without entitlement to remuneration and no compensation benefits (e.g. sick pay) are received. According to this rule, various employee groups are to be differentiated.
The field Valuation rule 1 must contain the valuation rule for the period with continued pay.
The field Valuation rule 2 must contain the valuation rule for the period without continued pay for compulsorily and voluntarily insured persons to which the employer does not grant a sick pay allowance.
The field Valuation rule 3 must contain the valuation rule for the period without continued pay for persons insured at a reduced rate (persons without entitlement to sick pay).
The field Valuation rule 4 must contain the valuation rule for the period without continued pay for privately insured persons to which the employer does not grant a sick pay allowance.
The field Valuation rule 5 must contain the valuation rule for the period without continued pay for privately insured persons to which the employer grants a sick pay allowance.
The field Valuation rule 6 must contain the valuation rule for the period without continued pay for compulsorily and voluntarily insured persons to which the employer does not grant a sick pay allowance.
Indicator 7A
With this indicator, nearly the same allocations are made as with indicator 07.
The field Valuation rule 2 must contain the valuation rule for the period without continued pay for compulsorily and voluntarily insured persons independent of whether the employer grants or does not grant a sick pay allowance.
The period with continued pay can be further allocated, however: The first n days contain the valuation rule from the field Valuation rule 06. The valuation rule obtains the days remaining until the end of continued pay from the field Valuation rule 01. The number of the first n days is stored with the constant LFZSP in the #Payroll constants' view (Table T511K).
Indicator 7B
With this indicator, nearly the same allocations are made as with indicator 07. The period with continued pay can be further allocated, however: to avoid financial losses, leave days should be credited against sick days.
The field Valuation rule 1 must contain the valuation rule for the period with continued pay with continued full remuneration.
The field Valuation rule 2 must contain the valuation rule for the period without continued pay for compulsorily and voluntarily insured persons independent of whether the employer grants or does not grant a sick pay allowance.
The field Valuation rule 6 must contain the valuation rule for the period with continued pay with crediting of leave days.
Indicator 01
You must use this indicator if an absence is involved for which the monetary valuation depends on whether it is with or without continued pay. If the absence involves both, it is allocated into two part intervals.
The field Valuation rule 1 must contain the valuation rule for the period with continued pay.
The field Valuation rule 2 must contain the valuation rule for the period without continued pay.
The fields Valuation rule 3 to 6 are disregarded.
Indicator 02
You must use this indicator if an absence is involved for which the monetary valuation depends on whether it is with or without continued pay and whether a sick pay allowance is granted. If the absence involves several areas, it is allocated into corresponding part intervals.
The field Valuation rule 1 must contain the valuation rule for the period with continued pay.
The field Valuation rule 2 must contain the valuation rule for the period without continued pay but before the start of the sick pay allowance.
The field Valuation rule 3 must contain the valuation rule for the period in which the sick pay allowance is granted.
The field Valuation rule 4 must contain the valuation rule for the period after the end of the sick pay allowance. This valuation rule is also used if no sick pay allowance periods or no end of continued pay was entered for absences lasting whole days or several days.
The fields Valuation rule 5 and 6 are disregarded.
Indicator 03
This processing indicator represents an enhancement of processing indicator 02. You must use it if you make calculations for persons who have private health insurance, i.e., SI attribute 20 (private HI) was assigned for the person in infotype Social insurance. Because for these persons, different national attributes apply (e.g. no reduction of SI days) while sick pay allowance is granted.
For this, you must also specify in the field Valuation rule 5 the valuation rule for the period during which the sick pay allowance is granted for a privately insured person.
Indicator 3A
With this indicator, nearly the same allocations are made as with indicator 03.
Example: According to the Construction Industry Collective Agreement 1997/98, the first three absence days of an illness are paid at a reduced rate. The value of constant LFZSP is 3.
Indicator 04
This indicator is used when it is necessary to differentiate between persons who have compulsory and voluntary health insurance.
For unpaid leave, SI days are not reduced until a period of a month has passed for compulsorily insured persons, while SI days are reduced right at the beginning of the absence for voluntarily insured persons. For partial day unpaid leave, SI days are not permitted to be reduced, however. In this case, no differentiation is made regarding whether it involves a compulsorily insured person or a voluntarily insured person.
The absence is not allocated into part intervals. The valuation rule determined is valid for the entire period of the absence.
The field Valuation rule 1 must contain the valuation rule for the compulsorily insured person.
The field Valuation rule 2 must contain the valuation rule for the voluntarily insured person.
The field Valuation rule 3 must contain the valuation rule for the partial day absence.
The fields Valuation rule 4 to 6 are disregarded.
Indicator 05
You can use this indicator for allocation of leave absence into paid leave and unpaid leave.
Leave is valuated here as unpaid if it was taken from a leave type for unpaid leave.
The field Valuation rule 1 must contain the valuation rule for paid leave.
The field Valuation rule 2 must contain the valuation rule for unpaid leave.
The fields Valuation rule 3 to 6 are disregarded.
Indicator 06
You must use this indicator if an absence with continued pay is involved for which leave days should be credited to sick days to avoid financial losses. The absence is not allocated into the corresponding part intervals.
The field Valuation rule 1 must contain the valuation rule for the period with continued pay with continued full remuneration.
The field Valuation rule 5 must contain the valuation rule for the period in which sick pay allowance is granted if persons are involved who have private health insurance, i.e., the SI attribute 20 (private HI) was assigned for the person in the infotype Social insurance. Because for these persons, different national attributes apply (e.g. no reduction of SI days) while sick pay allowance is granted.
The field Valuation rule 6 must contain the valuation rule for the period wi
