Definition

The personnel number is the only feature which is unique to an
employee. You have to enter a personnel number before you can
display and maintain infotypes.

If number ranges are maintained properly, personnel numbers are
automatically assigned in consecutive order.

Within a client, the personnel number is the main key
for an infotype structure.

Procedure

If you do not know an employee's personnel number, you can derive it
from other known data using a matchcode.
