Definition
The coding status of the address indicates the extent to which the address data could be assigned to postal units.
The following statuses are possible:
0: The address is fully coded.
In the case of a street address, the city was found in the city directory and - if a street directory exists for the city - the street was found in the street directory.
In the case of PO box addresses, the postal code was found in the postal code directory and the PO box in the PO box directory, if applicable.
In the case of major customer addresses, the postal code was found in the postal code directory.
1: The address is coded partially.
In the case of a street address, the city was found in the city directory, the city has a street directory and the street was not found in the street directory.
2: The address is not coded.
Depending on the address type, no corresponding data was found in the address directories.
3: The address type is not maintained.
4: Postal changes exist for the address.
If changes affecting this address were made to postal units using the postal change service, all address types are set to this coding status.
