Business Consolidation (FIN-SEM-BCS)
Enables parallel consolidations for different
" Data categories (actual, plan, target, and so on)
" Financial statements (for example, US-GAAP, IAS, HGB),
" Valuations and/or
" Simulations
One or more characteristics with the role "Version" can exist in the consolidation area.
Examples:
" One characteristic with the role "Version" exists: The version controls the different financial statements and the data categories also.
" Two characteristics exist; the first characteristic with the role "Version" (for the data categories actual, plan) and the second characteristic with the role "Financial Statement/Valuation".
A version is characterized by its combination of characteristics.
You assign values for special versions to each value combination for version characteristics. SAP delivers, for example, special versions for data entry and currency translation methods. The special versions let you define different versions without redundancy that differ only in one one or few areas, but otherwise point to the same special versions.
