Definition

Determines a context for consolidation. It is characterized by the following:

• A data basis
• A subset of the characteristics and key figures defined in the data basis
• A data slice within the data streams of the data basis. To define the data slice, you specify values for the individual characteristics.

Use

You select the functions you want to use in consolidation # such as status management, the elimination of interunit profit/loss, consolidation of investments, and so on.

In each consolidation area, you can process data for a single consolidation chart of accounts with uniform breakdown categories, methods, and tasks.
