Documentation
Definition
Indicates whether the standard delivery status for an entity type, attribute, or referencing relationship is used or whether it is overridden with a new value of Enabled or Disabled.
Use
Each entity type, attribute, and referencing relationship in a data model is assigned a standard delivery status indicating whether it is enabled or disabled. You can configure your own status setting if you want to override the standard delivery status setting.
You cannot set the Status of an element to Disabled if the standard delivery status is Enabled # No Override Possible.
Dependencies
The system response to a status change depends on whether the data element is an entity type, an attribute, or a referencing relationship.
Changing the Status for an Entity Type
When you attempt to change the status of an entity type, a dialog box displays required changes and optional changes. You must accept the required changes if you want to proceed with the status change. You can choose to apply the optional changes as well.
The table summarizes the required and optional changes.
Status Changes to Disabled Status Changes to Enabled
Required Changes The system enables any higher-level entity types that are currently disabled. The system disables all lower-level entity types that are currently enabled or undefined.
Optional Changes You can set the Status for lower-level entity types to Enabled. No optional changes are suggested.
Changing the Status for a Referencing Relationship
A referencing relationship refers to a set of attributes in another entity type. If you disable the relationship, you disable the attributes.
Changing the Status for an Attribute
When you override the standard delivery status for an attribute, no system changes are required for other attributes.
