Definition

Use

Deactivates the standard existence check for the value of the attribute, hierarchy attribute, or referencing entity type.

Dependencies

If there are domain fixed values for the underlying data element, then you cannot select this checkbox field. In that case, Web Dynpro always performs an existence check automatically.

Example

  • You define an attribute or a referenced entity type as the upper or lower limit of a range. Since the values for range limits do not have to exist, you can deactivate the standard existence check for this attribute or referenced entity type.
  • You replace the standard existence check by a check that you have programmed in an implementation of Business Add-In Define Validations/Derivations (USMD_RULE_SERVICE).
