Definition
Determines whether the entity type is the root node of a business object type.
Use
If you select this checkbox, the entity type becomes the root node of the assigned business object type.
The system evaluates this indicator when creating the templates for SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search. For more information, see Create Search Object Connector Templates .
The system determines the respective entity for the business object type for creating templates. When creating templates for Enterprise Search, the system also regards all contained entity types as a part of this business object type.
Dependencies
Example
The business object type Business Partner is assigned to entity type BP_HEADER and is marked as a root node. Hence, all contained entity types automatically belong to this business object type.
The business object types Chart of Accounts and G/L Account are assigned to the entity ACCOUNT of a data model in Financials. When making assignments for business object type G/L Account, select the Entity Type is Root checkbox. This makes the entity type ACCOUNT the root node of business object type G/L Account.
