Documentation
Definition
Indicates whether an entity type, an attribute, or a referencing relationship is included in the Master Data Governance process.
Use
You can edit governed fields in change requests, unless you make the fields read-only for particular change request steps. You can never edit ungoverned fields. We recommend that you remove ungoverned fields from the user interface unless they contain information the user needs. The MDG framework does not store any value of an ungoverned field.
Dependencies
In Customizing, it is not possible to change the Governed setting for the following data elements:
- Key fields.
- Entity types with a storage and use type of 1.
