Definition
Defines the field of the check table that contains the short text.
Use
You only specify the source field for entity types of storage and use type 3, whose data elements refer to a check table, which in turn does not refer to a text table. If a text table is defined, the system automatically recognizes it and assigns its fields to the short, medium, and long texts.
The system uses the text that can be stored in this check table field as the descriptive text of the entity type#s attributes (such as when formatting the input help).
