Definition

The 'Relevant leave period' start and end field have the following meaning:

- Leave records are only selected from infotype 2006 or 0005 if their validity period overlaps the relevant leave period.

- Leave records are only selected from infotype 2006 or 0005 if their deduction period overlaps the relevant leave period.

- The leave entitlement is calculated proportionally using the start date of the infotype record and the end date of the relevant leave period.

Example:

An employee starts at the company on March 01. The employee receives a proportional leave entitlement of 25 days. The validity period for the infotype is March 01 - December 31. In June, the employee takes three days of leave. Your fiscal ends in the middle of the year and you want to calculate the leave accrual on October 31 of the year.

Entitlement on 31.10: 25 days

Proportional entitlement for 8 out 10 months: 25 / 10 * 8 = 20 days

Days taken by 31.10.: 3 days

Remaining leave on 31.10: 25 - 3 = 22 days

Proportional remaining leave on 31.10: 20 - 3 = 17 days

The leave accrual is calculated as 17 open leave days. Leave that has been requested for the period after October 31st is not taken into account. Compensated leave days count as days taken.
