Definition

You can use the first to sixth leave type fields to control the order in which the leave types assigned to the employee in the Leave Entitlement infotype (0005) are deducted.

Use

When you enter an absence type with absence quota type 99 (leave), the system automatically reduces the leave type which has been specifed as first, followed by second and third.

It is recommended to deduct shift leave and leave for severely challenged persons first of all, for example.

Procedure

Specify the order in which you want leave types to be deducted.

If you do not want to set priorities for leave deduction, enter *. In this case, the system deducts leave in the order specified in the Deduction sequence field.

Examples

You want leave for severely challenged persons to be deducted first, but do not wish to control leave deduction beyond this.

Enter leave for severely challenged persons in the First leave type field. Enter * in the Second leave type field. Do not make an entry in the third field.

Dependencies

Leave deduction can also be changed manually in the Absences infotype (2001). For more information, please see the step Allow manual leave deduction.
