Definition

Name of the info object which contains the unit of measure description or the currency description.

Use

When a key figure column always has the same unit of measure or the same currency, you can display the unit of measure description or the currency description in the column header by specifying the name of a unit or currency info object. Depending of the column type you might have different options:

  • For an info object column, the name of the info object must be part of the selection criteria.
  • For an info provider column, the name of the info object can come from different sources, such as:
    • the selection criteria, like an info object column.
    • the fixed value that is mapped to the characteristic dimension. In this case, the name of the info object will be the name of the characteristic dimension.
    • the fixed value defined for the column dimension restriction info provider. In this case, the name of the info object will be the name of the restricted dimension characterisitc. Only the column dimension restriction info provider belonging to the column info provider will be considered.
  • For a virtual column, the name of the info object can come from different sources, such as:
    • the selection criteria, like an info object column.
    • the fixed value that are mapped to the characteristic dimension. In this case you need to specify the Unit Ref. Info Provider, then the name of the info object will be the name of the characteristic dimension defined for this unit ref. info provider.
    • the fixed value defined for the info provider column dimension restriction. In this case you need to specify a info provider column by filling those fields: Unit Ref. Info Provider, Unit Ref. Key Figure and Unit. Ref. Key Figure Number. Then the name of the info object will be the name of a characterisitc restricted dimension defined for the info provider column specified.

In all cases, at the run time, the MDP engine will read the unit or currency value according to the source and will concatenate this information with the column header description.
