Definition
Name of an info object which will be binded to the dimension characteristic. This info object must be defined in the selection criteria or in the info object columns of the MDP view.
Use
By default, a dimension characteristic is mapped to an MDP view according to its name. For example, if you have a dimension characteristic 0CM_CDT1 that is mapped to the selection criteria of the MDP view, then the MDP engine will search for the value of the selection criteria 0CM_CDT1 in the MDP view in order to restrict the dimension characteristic 0CM_CDT1 when it reads the info provider.
If you want to bind the dimension characteristic to a different info object which does not have the same name, you must use the binding info object and the binding attribute.
- When the dimension characteristic is mapped to the info object column, you have to specify the binding info object and the binding attribute and they must correspond to an info object column defined in your results table.
- When the dimension characteristic is mapped to a selection criteria, you have to specify only the binding info object and it must correspond to an info object defined in the selection criteria.
- When the dimension characteristic is mapped to a fixed value or a fixed value in column, the binding info object and the binding attribute are not used.
