Definition
You can use a CPM Variable in a Management Cockpit, in the Balanced Scorecard, and in the Value Driver Tree for the selection of transaction data and user variables.
A CPM variable is assigned to exactly one characteristic, and is defined in more detail using the folowing properties (made in transaction UMM_VA100):
- Definition of replacement type: You define whether you enter the value (or values) for the variable in Customizing for the function, or at runtime (presentation).
- Definition of variable type: You define the value types that you can assign to the variable. You can define variables for the characteristic value, hierarchy or hierarchy node, and for the user name.
- Definition of selection type [only possible if you selected "characteristic" as the variable type]: You define whether you can store a single value, an interval, or any amount of individual values and intervals in the variable.
