Definition

All information necessary for mapping the benchmark provider's master data to the company's master data stored in the BW system is saved in profiles. This is only relevant for importing external benchmark data using XML documents.

You can save in a profile the current settings for mapping the master data from benchmark provider to your own master data. This allows you to reuse the profile for the next import of benchmark data from the same service provider without having to redefine the mapping.

You can specify a standard profile. This profile is applied if you selected Apply Standard Profile to Provider before importing.
